So far the beta process for us this time around (I was in the WOTLK beta) has been very disappointing to say the least. After waiting for 5 weeks after we sent in the list of guild members to be in the beta we only finally got in because of a very nice CS rep on this forums and my posts here. Since then we still have been trying to get the last guild member in and I have yet to recieve one single reply to over 50 emails I have sent to the contest email address.
Furthermore none of us can post on the beta forums asI have been sending emails also about that problem. After watching a GM the othernight running around in Tol Barad (again without any notice) speed hacking and one shotting horde with an alliance toon that took no damage while he reset the game timers between games, I have come to the coclusion that blizzard is run by a bunch of 16 year olds or with the maturity level of them.
The officers of my guild are like me and are working professionals (I am 42) that try to devote as much time as possible to the beta. We are well educated and highly paid college graduates who expect more from a company with 14 million subscribers. Many of us work for furtune 500 companies and through our discussions about the way you run your business from the customers perspective, you have a lot of room for improvement.
Sorry for posting this on the live forums as I would rather have posted it in the beta forums (if we had access). The wipe of our guild has set us back so far I really doubt there will be much if any interest at all from my officers in partiticpaing now unless the bank contents are sent to us via mail. We put hundreds of hours into farming mats that were sitting in the guild bank waiting on professions to all be fixed.
