Quest issue

I was working on the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain tonight. I had gotten up to Long Forgotten Memories. I went and clicked on the red stone in Silithus which started the event to show what happened in the past to seal up the AQ gate. At the same time, a raid had started that I had to attend so i didnt get to stay till the end. I went back after the raid to restart the event or the quest and couldnt find a way to restart it. So then I just abandoned the quest to try and just pick it back up again from Anachronos and now he wont offer it to me.

How can i get back on track? I have the book "War of the Shifting Sands" in my inventory. Do I delete it in hopes of getting the quest to come back up again?
