I had very recently planned on transferring a character from Uther to Maelstrom (Ranza.) To save the name I wanted, since that name was unavailable, I created a level 55 Deathknight named "Lyese." Upon the transfer completing, I purchased a character recustomization for the transferred character. I then deleted the Deathknight and immediately recustomized Ranza's gender and name to Lyese. However, the name is now flagged as unavailable and asking me to rename her. I thought there wasn't a hold on deleted characters names. Is it possible the Deathknight's data is still on the server, or did someone else really create a character with that name in the 30 second or so span? Basically, I want to know if the name is truly in use, because I don't see anything in Armory (I'm aware it usually updates every hour or two.)
