Tickets Going Unresolved, GM Please Help!

Over the past several days I have been submitting tickets about a player in violation of the ToS. Using both an exploit and a botting program. I have witnessed an alliance player (I won't use the name as I saw another topic had player names erased) using a fishing bot underneath the Eastpark Workshop in Wintergrasp. He has somehow positioned himself such that no player can get to him to interrupt his botting. All he does is stay in that location and fish. As a hunter player myself, I can see him on the mini-map with track humanoids and target him if I get in the right spot, but can make no attack upon him due to his location underneath the workshop. I am fairly sure he is botting because he has been non-stop fishing in the same spot for at least 4 days now. (A friend of mine made note that he has located the same player there in the past doing the same thing, I only discovered him recently).

The issue it, I have submitted in-game tickets and even one by email. All of the tickets were responded to with the generic "We'll look into it", "Thank you for helping to improve the game", "We won't tell you if we actually take any action to fix your problem". The thing is, days after the GM responses I STILL see the SAME player I reported doing the SAME thing I reported him for. This makes it obvious that no action has been taken to stop him from botting and staying hidden underneath the terrain.

When I went back to check before typing this up guess what I noticed? A HORDE player doing the same thing in the same exact location as the Alliance player. So now there is a player of each faction fish-botting in an exploited location so they won't and can't get attacked by anyone without using exploiting to get to them.

Unless I am wrong, botting and using an exploit to get to locations not meant to be reached are both bannable offenses if abused. So why are the GMs that respond to me leaving these players to their fish-botting?

Is there a GM who can contact me so I can give them the player information who will actually take action against these cheaters, seeing as the other GMs I have contacted have yet to take any action.

I apologize if my post is wordy, but I hope I got my point across of what is going on and what I would like to see happen.

If it helps at all my server is Alterac Mountains, which is where this exploiting is occurring.

If this player is botting, Garuuk, then it should be reported as such. If he is exploiting, on the other hand, this should be reported as an exploit and not a bot as the two issues are handled a bit differently. In either event, Game Masters are unable to inform you of the actions that they take regarding such reports, in the interest of player privacy.

Also note that in the case of botting, players are often observed for extended periods of time to determine their behavior as well as gather information so we can fight bots on a grander scale than just a single individual. This may be the case if the Game Master who received your petition treated it as a bot rather than an exploit. In these cases, it's very important to use the correct terms in your petition, so that it enables us to investigate each situation appropriately. >^.^<

Your petitions are being addressed by Game Masters, Garuuk, and appropriately. But in some of these situations, you may not always see immediate action taken, or action may have already been taken and they may not have learned from it. Reporting it again at that point is most appropriate.

In this case, I'd probably report the exploit in particular, as that's something that sounds like you can definitely visually verify on your end as a player, whereas botting is a bit trickier. You are welcome to report both, but the more obvious of the two should probably take precedence. >^.^<
