Authenticators Across multiple accounts

Because I was only able to purchase two Authenticators, that's all I have. I have eight accounts. It's actually worked out quite well, but the news that you wont be able to do this anymore is a bit concerning. None of my accounts are merged. Is there a reason that I should be worried about using my authenticators this way? If you think I should have an authenticator for each account, is the two authenticator purchase limit going to be lifted?
