Cancel wow till next expansion, keep time?

about a month or so ago my 1/2 year subscription renewed however I don't want to play WoW till the expansion comes out.

Is it possible to cancel my subscription and pick it backup when cataclysm comes out, keeping the time (~5 months) that I have already paid for?

It is very unlikely that we would be able to provide you the service you are requesting, Ghodera. I do not believe we are able to suspend the time currently active on the account.

However, it would be best to contact our Billing & Account Services Department regarding this situation, as they would have better information on cancellation options.
