Character faction change/server xfer issue

Hello and thanks a ton for the help in advance!

I recently transferred my death knight from Icecrown to Whisperwind, I also faction changed him.
I re-named him and the name went through fine, but I go to long in and I'm prompted to re-name my character. I googled my problem and came up to a post in the EU forums of someone with the same issue. Just wondering how to fix this. Any help anyone can give me would be appreciated!

Character name btw is Laucian on Whisperwind. Again thanks for the help!

From the looks of things, Laucian, it appears as though you did not log into the character between the Paid Character Transfer and the Faction Change.

The character was flagged for rename from the character transfer since there was already a character with that name on that realm. When the Faction Change took place, the flag for rename did not lift, which is why it is prompting you to choose another.

You may wish to try and “rename” the character to what you would like it to be (I am assuming you want the character to be named Laucian?”)

If that does not allow you to log into the character, then go ahead an open an in game ticket and a Game Master will look into the issue further for you.

Changing the character further (i.e. the name) may inhibit any assistance the Game Masters could provide.
