Can not Faction Change (Blue help!)

Hello, I keep getting this error
"A character cannot change factions while there is mail in their mailbox or en route to their mailbox. "
I am trying to change my character Altayar on Alliance - Stormscale to Horde - Stormscale but it keeps giving me this error. I have double checked everything. I even tried to transfer another character but yet the problem remains and it gives me the same error. Can I get a blue post please before the servers go down thank you.

Apparently you had a piece of spam mail which has now been deleted for you, Altayar.

Some realms are still undergoing maintenance so you may wish to wait until all the realms are back up before processing the Faction Change.
