Cata Release Date Dec 7th?

I am suscribed at 2 WoW Facebook sites but the Warcraft (EU) site is saying that there is a press release dated today that the Exp. will be out on Dec. 7th. Just last month I watched a Q & A session with the devs that it would be released Dec. 31st. What is right. Is that Facebook page even connected to you and is their link to the press release page authentic.
