Q u o t e:
Greetings,
Thank you for contacting the World of Warcraft Game Master Department.
The PvP realm is designed to allow open combat between members of the Horde and the Alliance. As such, players on this realm have a greater ability to resolve issues on their own. Based on this, certain policies may be different from those on non-PvP realms.
The Ongoing Harassment policy does not apply on the PvP realm when there is a PvP resolution available. Characters have the ability to deal with their conflicts through combat, and Game Masters will only involve themselves in extreme circumstances.
Actions that would typically be considered "dishonorable actions" are considered PvP mechanics and are not considered harassment. Corpse Camping and repeatedly attacking and/or killing an NPC are examples of things that are not harassment.
We have constructed a PvP Survival Guide (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/survivingpvp.html). This has many helpful tips on playing on a PvP realm. You can also view the Official PvP Policy (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=20456)
Thank you again for contacting us. We hope you continue to enjoy your experience in World of Warcraft!

I'd like to know what constitutes extreme actions. I was instructed by a previous Game Master about a certain individual about extreme camping, npc killing in such, on a pvp server. Yes, I know it was on a PvP server. But what constitutes extreme harassment?
Let me review a few facts previously mentioned to a GM, perhaps it can be discussed further? I got a generic response the first time I spoke to a GM about it. Asked for further assistance, got to speak to one live - was told to report repeated actions taken by said players, and when I had done so, I get another generic response. Perhaps a discussion here might help as the GM ticket system appears to clog the system a little bit with my ticket and perhaps not allow the GMs to understand the entire scope of the situation.
First and foremost here are the basics:
1 - A specific player and two of his friends are intentionally logging onto Alliance toons daily, hourly, and constantly throughout the day - again..every day... with the sole intent of camping specific toons all day, every day.
2 - These players then PM the players in their guild, troll trade chat, troll forums, and even go as far as external-game harassment. (facebook, cell numbers somehow acquired)
3 - These players go as far as going to the individual zones, killing and camping the players (perfectly fair on a PvP server) however then they do this every hour, every minute of the day until I log off. When I log off, or onto another toon they constantly ask me and my leveling partner why we logged off (on Alliance toons) and gloat about the kills and specifically mention "You will never accomplish anything on this toon. Hope you don't expect to ever quest."
4 - Now, this happens to the point in which its literally impossible but to move to a res timer every two minutes, them and their other 2 80s. This repeats for hours on end and when you make it to a flightmaster they kill the flightmaster too so you can't escape.
5 - We were discussing this with a GM and explained that the only place for our characters to level is strictly in instances, but why is it that extreme, intentional, targeted, following you across continents after you hearth and fly to a different leveling area-style harassment isn't considered a bit extreme? or am I mistaken?
6 - I told the GM as soon as I would exit the instance I was in that they would be where I was in less than 5 minutes. Lo and behold he and his two friends show up. Proceed to kill the flightmaster. So we split up, we hearth, and we fly to a different zone. We begin to level in this zone - on a completely different continent. Then, suddenly - one of them shows up while the other is scouting on an alliance toon by /who PLAYER and guiding him to where we're leveling. This was done in 3 different zones. Took flight paths to three different zones from that point forward and it continues. This has been happening for 20+ character levels. The only way we were able to level was in instances and PvP BGs aside from being forced to play @ 4am when the griefers are sleeping.
7 - Now, understanding this to be a PvP server, usually it isn't a problem to be ganked - it isn't. Getting ganked happens. Getting camped happens. But the ongoing setting of which is happening is actually limiting me and another person from getting anything done. It is to the point in which I've considered guild-quitting, race changing, and name changing just to avoid being targeted as they would lose track of who or where I was at that point. Is it necessary to pay for such services only to enjoy the game from SELECTED and INTENTIONAL consistent targeting? Where their whole intent is to follow you all over every contested zone, across continents, and completely eliminate your ability to quest. What about the questing aspect of the game? Sure, a random gank here or there, but the systematic, every day, every moment of every day that I'm on this toon...is this not extreme enough?
8 - I'd be willing to even contact the cell-phone provider for copies of the transcripts received via text messages to show the outside game harassment as well. It is extreme and although it is on a PvP server, this kind of complete griefing conduct I would hope wouldn't be supported to the extent that it is being done.
The purpose of this post is to hopefully figure out what I was told to report and why. Sure an investigation is being done, but when I was told to send in a ticket for each repeating ..... "occurance" I'm not sure if it is an offense.... and all I get is the standard reply linked above - it makes me wonder if anything at all is actually being done or if it is being taken seriously. Am I wasting the GM department's time, or do I continue reporting. If I continue reporting each specific targeted, repeated set of ganking you will literally have a ticket from me up every single day, just by playing the toon and attempting to quest. As this person and their one or two friends (who are constantly around if you attempt to bring level 80s to combat it, they bring more and more and more - preventing you from doing anything about it and you eventually lose focus of actually leveling the toon you're attempting to quest with. Either way, they accomplish their goal - "You won't get to get anything done with that toon LOLZ!") is always there to gank me and kill the NPCs associated with my leveling. Literally as long as they're awake and I'm logged in, they will be searching me... so again, do I follow the GM's instructions and continue to report this every, single, day as I was told to do or is it a waste of my time and the GMs as well?
