Hey.

Okay here is the story short.

I quit playing wow about 5 months ago come back and my account is compromised my id and pass and everyting inc battle.net is changed.

I call blizzard today they give me my account back. I log in and everything is different changed my characters are on dif realms dif gears and stuff...

I assumed someone had been playing my account but nothing i could do about it ... I look in my email an hour ago and now it says

An Account Recovery Form has been submitted for Battle.net account ********

and it says a bunch of other stuff. I did not fill this form out what so ever. So now im confused if someone else is trying to recall the account after I recalled it? What should I do now?

Im pretty sure someone else has my info and stuff otherwise i wouldn't be in this situaton in the first place... what should I do?

Your account may still be at risk, Murkmurky. I highly recommend you go back and take the following steps.

==============================================================================
  • Make sure you secure your computer. You will need to run multiple virus scans and if possible use more than one scanner.
    Secure Your Computer: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/30805

  • You will then want to change the password to your personal e-mail. Make sure you do not use the same password as your previous e-mail or battle.net account. If possible, use another computer to make these changes. ** Changing the battle.net e-mail is recommended. ***

In addition to computer security, you may wish to look into obtaining a Blizzard authenticator for your account.

If there are multiple partys claiming the account, Murkmurky, a security lock to prevent unauthorized access is possible. If you currently have control of the account though, you should be able to change your battle.net e-mail via the account management page.

Assuming your system is free of viruses/keyloggers, this should keep anyone else from trying to reclaim the account.

Q u o t e:
Just curious how do I do that security lock? I would like to call blizzard tomorrow and try to do something about this because I indeed believe someone else definitly has my account info.
A security lock would only be possible if multiple people are trying to claim ownership of the account. I don't believe that is the issue here.

If someone else is changing your password or reclaiming your account, it's a security issue. If your computer is secure, there should be no way for the other person to know what your new e-mail or password is. Unfortunately calling in won't do much. The security of the account is in your hands.

If the web form is found non-credible no action will be taken and the character transfer will go through.
