Brewfest Refund

The information on your website's Brewfest page is incorrect. It lists the "Disturbing the Peace" achievement as being a prerequisite achievement to attain the Brewmaster achievement. I would be done with the Brewmaster achievement had I simply purchased the Brew of the Month Club item first but I have now wasted 350 brewfest tokens to purchase bank slot filling dreck get an achievement that I now have found out that I never needed in the first place (nor cared about).

As the event has been changed this year I cannot get a refund for the items from the ingame vendor as others have been able to do in past Brewfest events. I am being told that the tokens can't be refunded because I got an achievement for them but quite frankly I don't believe that. I didn't receive an item I won in a random dungeon recently. I was told there was no record of me winning it so it couldn't be refunded. The ticket ended up being escalated and voila, a gm hopped on and sent me the item. So please don't waste my time with the "sorry for your loss but our hands are tied" line.

I find it hard to believe that Blizzard would want players to have to grind out another 8-10 days of mind numbing button pressing for us to be able to finish an achievement we'd already have completed had it not been for Blizzard's own mistake.

I'm sorry for what inconvenience this issue may have caused you, Psycha, unfortunately there there is a bit of a difference between being originally being unable to find one line of information out of the thousands of log lines that must be looked at in order to possibly provide a restoration and granting a request that our In-Game Support staff simply is not able to do.

I'm sorry to say that we are unable to remove achievements which limits our ability to refund any item that grants an achievement. I'm sorry.

Though our webteam tries to keep the webpages up to date they do miss some things from time to time. If no notice the Brewmaster achievement lists a total of 9 achievements in order to get the title though this year it has been reduced to 6.

Disturbing the Peace, Strange Brew and Drunken Stupor are not part of the requirements. The in-game achievement page reflects the most current and correct requirements.

Please use the Report Page Error if you notice a discrepancy in the future.

Q u o t e:
Sorry, not buying it. You can change your faction, race, server, name, appearance, etc., etc. They can refund your money or magically add paid game time to your account. Saying something like rolling back an achievement can't be done doesn't hold any water. Maybe a GM isn't allowed to or doesn't personally have the tools to but to say it can't be done is simply untrue. Hell, we even know it's possible for the event vendor to buy back items, unfortunately that capability was taken out this year.

I never said it can't be done, Psycha, as if it were impossible. I said we were unable to, meaning our policies and abilities prohibit us from assisting you in this capacity.

Yes, it was previously possible for the vendor to buy back those items, that was not originally intended and therefore correct with this years event.

try ctrl+f for starters.

That's cute, really.

If you are unsatisfied with the service our In-Game Support was able to provide feel free to write to [email protected]. Though I do appreciate sarcasm is isn't wise to troll me, especially when I am trying to provide some clarity on this issue.

Good luck to you, Psycha, please enjoy the rest of Brewfest.
