Parental controls issue

Hello!

A while ago, I set up parental controls on my account for the sole purpose of disabling RealID due to privacy concerns. I've had a change of heart since, but for some reason I can't seem to access the PCs at all. I clicked the link that was sent to the "parent" e-mail (the one that says "Be sure to hang on to this email (...), this is your key to accessing Battle.net Parental Controls any time you wish), and I got this:

Q u o t e:
We’re sorry, but this token is invalid or has expired. To access parental controls, please click here to receive a new token.

I then tried to request a new access key by entering the "parent" e-mail... and I got hit with "An error has occurred" message. So then I tried to enter the b.net login e-mail, and I was told that a an e-mail with a new key has been sent my way. It's hours later, and I still didn't receive anything (checked the spam folders on both addresses, too).

Is it possible to petition the removal of parental controls through this forum? And if not, who do I have to contact and what documents do I have to provide?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Valdå,

Can you try entering your battle.net e-mail instead?

Retrieve Parental Controls E-mail
https://us.battle.net/account/parental-controls/retrieve.html?child=true

This option will allow you to enter in your battle.net e-mail, the link however will still be sent to the parental controls registered e-mail.

Let me know if it works out for you. Thanks!

I'm looking at your account Valdå and parental controls are currently not setup on the account. Something may be screwy with the account. Were you trying to use Real ID and is it not showing up correctly in game?

Not to my knowledge. Parental Controls can only be disabled by the account holder.

For Real ID invites, you will not get an e-mail or in game mail. If Real ID is enabled you should see three tabs under the friends list window.

- Click O to open Friends List and check for the following tabs.

|| Friends || || Ignore || Pending ||

Let me know if you don't see those tabs.

Valdå,

From what I can see it may be an internal issue. Parental controls were in fact active at some point. If you only have two tabs, friends and ignore, then the account still thinks it has parental controls.

Can you head over to the parental controls page and go through the setup again.

Set Up Parental Controls
https://us.battle.net/account/parental-controls/setup.html

Let me know how that works out.

Done and done - I see all three tabs OK now, and RealID is enabled as well.
Awesome!
