Lich King Expansion

Ok So here is my question..... when i bought world of warcraft i got the Wrath Of the Lich King expansion box set..... i installed it.... and purchased a account....this was a little over a month ago......i am now lvl 45..... and a friend wanted to show me northrend.....being a mage it created a portal and i tryied jumping in..... but it kept saying in the chat log..... that i need the wrath of the lich king expansion...... what in the world am i doing wrong here....? someone please help

From what I can see you currently do not have Burning Crusade or Wrath of the Lich King Expansions on this account.

You will need to add your CDKEY for Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King under account management here:https://us.battle.net/account/management/add-game.html
