Reporting Ninja Looting in Raids?

Hi,

Two weeks ago I had a ninjalooting experiences in an ICC25 raid on this toon. I filed a ticket about the incident.

Today I talked to one of the people involved in the incident and I was informed that the person who received the loot in disregard of the loot rules for the raid had kept the item, and that there had been no repercussions.

My question for the customer service representatives is, what deterrant does blizzard have for ninja looters? You have a circumspect set of FAQ articles that seem to suggest that you take an interest in ninja looting incidents, but make it clear that the outcomes of tickets being filed will not be revealed to people who file the tickets.

Is it worth filing these tickets as a deterrant, or the administrative process just something that you have put in place to make us feel better?

This situation hasn't negatively affected my character personally, it wasn't gear I was after, but the incident as a whole has thoroughly put me off using pick up groups to do raids that my guild cannot currently do. I'm feeling terribly negative about the whole thing.

Our articles deal with scams in a raid - there truly is no such thing as a 'ninja' loot in WoW, it's impossible, you cannot loot anything that isn't allowed by the system and under that definition cannot be 'stolen'.

We look into reports of scams, but the outcome is not necessarily what's requested - nor does it necessarily mean any loot will be redistributed.

Master Looter is just not the best option to run a PUG under if you don't know or have any reason to suspect you cannot trust the person given that authority for the distribution of loot. That loot type confers a lot of latitude in their judgment. Barring something that we can determine is a scam, you've given them authority to distribute as they see fit based on that loot type.
