Name Change Service

So my friend changed his characters name from a name that i want to use on one of my characters, this has been quite a while ago, and am pretty sure it has been 90-days since he changed it. How can i find out if the name i want is taken? I have logged onto my realm, both horde and alliance, to see if i can add the name i want as a friend and it says "Player Not Found" on both sides. I have also checked on the Armory and nobody has the name i want, unless they are below lvl 10 and i can't see them.

Any help would be appreciated.

If the suggestions posted by Owlet do not work for you, Angryduck, have your friend view the Paid Name Change Transactions Page. This will show him the date he performed the name change and you both will know if it has been over 90-days or not.
