Transferring guild leadership

Just wondering what the process is for transfering the guildmaster tag from an inactive GM to myself for a current guild, and if I need to be in the guild before it can be done.

The current GM has said they are ok with me taking over leadership of the guild but they aren't interested in re-subbing to do the hand-over and I had previously left the guild so can't likely get an invite back in at this stage.

Q u o t e:
The GM has to have been inactive on his ENTIRE account for (don't quote me on this) I believe 30 days. In addition, yes, you have to be in the guild - you can't just go around and ask to have random guilds with inactive leaders transferred to you.

However, though, it is up to the game master's discretion to transfer anything to you, so the best thing to try is to put in a ticket.

Four is correct. The current guild master would need to be inactive - and yes, you do need to be in the guild.
