It doesn't sound like you actually turned off your experience gain, Dotalicious, unfortunately as the others have said our In-Game Support staff is unable to remove experience under any condition.
Though the ability to turn off experience gain is available it should be understood that the practice of "twinking" has never been supported. When experience gain was introduced to Battlegrounds our Developers provided a means for those who wish to, to turn off the gain but they also wanted to keep these brackets fun and fair for those who were using them to level and otherwise enjoy the experience. To this end they created special queues for those who had their experience gain turned off. Only players of a similar experience state would be able to queue with one another.
This, of course, limits the pool of players with experience gain turned off. Some Battlegroups contain enough players who enjoy this style of PvP to be able to form matches, but others do not. Before you decide to invest further into this practice you may want to check how popular twinking is on your Battlegroup.
