Badge of justice and currency conversion

I've been farming badges of justice on an alt to get them some RP gear. Will there be an alternate way to obtain old equipment with the currency change? Badge of Justice is turning into gold so does that mean the equipment purchased with those badges will now be available for purchase with gold?
