However, in the process (a mere 5 minutes, it's chilling how efficient these hackers are), I had lost, aside from my gold:
1. Enchanting mats (at least 480 infinite dusts, 100s of abyss crystals, dream shards and at least 30 frozen orbs, at least 40 Eternal Shadows, 11 Eternal Airs and Waters each, 6 Eternal Lifes, 5 Eternal Fires)
2. Raiding foods: 30 Fish Feasts, 17 or 19 Flask of the Frost Wyrms
3. 80-100 bolts of frostweave and 3 Spellweaves
4. all my emblems of frost and triumph - the hacker spent these to buy sellable items like P.Saronite or gems likely.
5. some rare PvP gems
All these items add up to thousands of gold and were farmed painstakingly. I had submitted a ticket in-game but received a very generic response from a GM that saddened me a lot. The essence of his reply was encapsulated in one of the sentences "Unfortunately the Account Investigator has recovered all the items and moneys that they were able to in the course of the investigation".
All I got was my gold back, surely a little more help could be afforded? While I understand that restoration of inventory items is entirely at Blizz's discretion as I was told time and again in template responses, I would be very grateful if there was a little more assistance than was offered as I'm sure all players here can imagine how distressing it is to find weeks of farming lost to a thief.
Thank you very much and I hope to hear back soon.
