Account Locked, Answer Unclear.

Okay so I tried to log in yesterday, to receive a message saying my account was blocked to suspicious activity. I was prompted to check my e-mail I did so, getting a similar message and was told to change my password. I did so, and have been able to play on my account again since then, but I opened a ticket looking for answers as to why I was blocked and what I can do to prevent this in future.

After about 24 hours, I got a response from a blizzard GM through my in game mail, telling me that the person before was a person posing as a blizz GM. However it was not in game I got the initial message, but at the login screen to connect to the system. I still don't know what happened to label my account as suspicious, if it was my action, someone reposting me, or potentially a stupid hacker goofing off on my account, and all I want to know is why I was flagged and how to prevent this in future. If someone could give me a hand I'd appreciate it, as I am still very confused

The account was locked for security purposes.

Suspicious activity can indicate that someone may have attempted to log in using your user credentials.

You will want to make sure you run an extensive virus scan on your computer, change your e-mail and game passwords.You may also want to check the following thread for additional security information.
