I got the following a couple of hours ago but just got home.

Hello,

Blizzard Entertainment recently received a request to change the e-mail address used to log in to the Battle.net account with the username xxxxxxx. The e-mail address a***@hotmail.com has been specified as the new username for this Battle.net account. An email has been sent to this new address containing a verification link to complete the change.

Once the new address has been verified, the former e-mail address can no longer be used to log in to this Battle.net account or any World of Warcraft accounts merged with this Battle.net account.

If you did not initiate this request, please click here to contact the Blizzard Billing & Account Services team immediately.

Sincerely,
The Battle.net Account Team

I can still log-in to the game using my current email address and password and nothing has been taken from my bank. I'm also own a mac which are usually free from trojan horses etc where a keylogger could gain my info....please advise what I should do including any phone numbers that may be needed so I can contact the right people.

thanks in advance.

The e-mail does not look legitimate, Charmalot, last time I looked if you wish to change your registered e-mail address. The e-mail you receive is sent to the new address where you must click a confirmation link to confirm the change.

Check out the link that Uhura provided, it contains advice on how to check the headers on an e-mail and confirm where it came from. All Blizzard e-mails should have a return address of @Blizzard.com or @Battle.net.

Edit: Confirmed, if you are attempting to change your e-mail address through the Account Management page you would be sent a confirmation e-mail to the new address after providing the password and answer to your security question.
