Forced Name change

Today I attempted to log into one of my accounts and was forced to change my name as it was deemed inappropriate. I have had this name for 2 years and when I checked other spellings there were several other iterations of the name spelled just slightly different and they still are able to use the name. It was [removed].. I see it on the same realm spelt different ways such as [removed] and am slightly upset at this issue. I pay for 3 accounts, several upgrades and years of dedication and I can't even have my own name? I hardly believe that this is offensive as i have seen FAR worse names out there like the other day something about [removed]. <<<< very offensive, [removed] is because i am a Paladin not because I can't shower. I understand its just a name and there are certain rules but I really don't understand the offense. Can it please be explained to me why I was forced to change my name?

Hi Muzbunbun,

In your case, the name is deemed inappropriate for an RP realm. While the name may have been yours for the last two years, it has also been in violation of the naming policy. As Tandaa mentioned, RP realms have strict rules. You are also more than welcome to report any inappropriate name you come across.

If you feel anything within our policies should change, please post on our suggestion forums. While many players often post in game ideas, suggestions regarding policies are always welcome.

Let us know if you have any additional questions. Thanks!
