Collectors Edition Pets

I got married over the summer and took my husband's last name. He has all the collectors edition pets on his account (panda/thor/etc) and I was wondering if once I contact blizzard to change the last name on my account to his; if he made a character, put all the pets on it and transfered the character to my account - would the collectors edition pets disappear or would I be able to learn them?

As stated above, Lysiah, you should not be creating a character on your husband’s account. As stated in the Terms of Use: (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html ). Only two people are EVER allowed to access the account (from the moment the account is created to the end of time). The first is the person who set up the account in their own name (you aren't allowed to set up an account in any name other than your own legal name). The second is one (1) of the children or trustees (under age 18) of the first person. Not siblings, not parents, not spouses, not friends, not strangers. While billing should be able to help you amend your surname currently listed on your account, due to taking your husband’s last name, it is not meant to be a way to circumvent the rules we have in place.

To answer your question, though: if you were to have a character on a separate account of your own that had these pets and you wanted to transfer them over, yes. You could do it as you described above. You could pack most of them onto a single character and have them, then, on the new account. It is important to note that this applies to the Collector’s Edition pets, as this does not work for non combat pets, or mounts, that are account specific. The Celestial Steed, and most pets that are purchasable from the Blizzard Pet Store will simply vanish upon transfer. This is clearly stated in the Pet Store FAQ: (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/29845)

Q u o t e:
If you wish to purchase the pet or mount for multiple different World of Warcraft accounts merged with the same Battle.net account, you will need to buy a separate pet or mount for each World of Warcraft account individually.
**Please Note** If a character transfers off of the account where the pet or mount is bound the pet or mount will be lost.**
