Won't let me transfer my toon.

I have lvl 34 toon and i want to xfter the toon to new account.
and when i tried it says it needs to be lich king expansion on it..
Why??? it's only lvl 34 why does it need to have expansion on the aco*%#@ for lvl 34?

You cannot transfer backwards between accounts and expansion levels.

The destination account has to be at least at the same level - or above, the level of the original account.
