Hi,

As the story goes, I was hacked about 3 days ago. When I logged in all that was missing was a large sum of gold. I made a ticket explaining my situation and after about 5 days I got a reply saying something along the lines of "you have been account sharing, BL sucka". So I decided to make a post here, aimed at getting an official response soon in reply to some comments I have.

First of all, I have never shared my account details with anyone nor shall I.

The reason I think "Game Master Jirrocol" has come to this conclusion may be due to changing ip addresses related to my account. I enjoy WoW and so I often play at home, work and university (hence different IP addresses) in addition to this, I also change my tunnel frequently because wowtunnels is kind of unstable at time and without a tunnel this game is horrible.

I've posted some screen shots relating to the tickets I've sent/received.

[Removed]

I don't have anything to add further, but I would like a reply, preferably fast and not retarded.

Venøx, while I hate to see you go - I really don't think you want this whole story in public, do you?

Especially after your protesting you never share your account?

I see exactly what happened here - and if it wasn't you yourself that did this transaction, there is every indication it was someone 'friendly' to the account that transferred gold via a purchase.

I'd be looking into who else could possibly have access on 9/21/2010 between 10:33:40 GMT and 10:40:55 GMT.

I'm terribly sorry, there is simply nothing further our department can do for you in this case.

Q u o t e:

Hi Spring,

Good advice, I took the time to update all my currently virus software (Adaware, AGV, Spybot) and I do a full system scan on my computers. No major threats were found however which is kind of startling.

Peace xo

Venøx,

Since this seems so upsetting to you - we are giving it another look. You should check your email here in an hour or so.

Please note, however, that this is not without repercussions. Your gold may be returned but there are going to be repercussions on others involved in this - and given I suspect they are indeed of your acquaintance, well - sometimes it pays to be careful what you ask for.

I'd recommend also adding an authenticator to your account and keeping it in a safe location.

I'd still strongly recommend getting an authenticator. Someone close to you has access you may not be aware of, but they do - this wasn't a normal malicious compromise.
