Recovering a deleted character.

A few months back I deleted my level 80 Paladin, Jlier on Maiev to make room for extra character slots. Also he was a Bloodelf and I wasn't too happy with this, it's a personal preference >.>.. Now I hear that you will be able to make a Tauren pally in Cata and would love to get him back so I can simply just race change him. Instead of going through the 1-80 Grind. I've been sitting with an open ticket for about 12 hours now and would like to know if it's possible a little sooner. If not I'll just close the ticket and get on with my day.

One thing to add -- Be sure that you have an open character slot on Maiev in the event the character is restored.
