"Too many instances entered recently" Problem

How long is the timer for this? Also why have this during a holiday event.

I have several toons and try to run the holiday, random and weekly on my toons on tuesday to get them done and over with.

It is a rolling timer and is 5 instances in an hour across the entire account. It includes dungeons (heroic or normal, old world, BC, or Wrath) and raids and even resetting a dungeon to do an event boss.

Rolling timer means if you try to get a sixth instance and get the message, you'll have to wait until 60 minutes pass from the first. Once that timer is up and you do the sixth instance, it will need to be 60 minutes from when the second was started for you to start a seventh. And so on.
Everything is working as intended.
