Have Hallowed Helm, Achievement Says I Don't

Last year I obtained the Hallowed Helm during Hallow's End. But for my "Sinster Calling" achievement, both Sinister Squashling and Hallowed Helm are grayed out. It isn't giving me credit for obtaining the Helm!!

I filed an in-game ticket.

This was the response I got:

"After personally investigating the issue it looks like although we WERE able to verify that you were present for the kill, the Achievement is an automated process that is distributed only once at the time the Achievement is earned. We...are unable to interfere with the automated process and the distribution of Achievements."

So does that mean I'm totally screwed? Should I just throw the thing away and hope to get it again?

This came up last season with some regularity because the mechanic was adjusted from the year before.

You actually have to LOOT the helm for it to count. It didn't if someone gave it to you. I'm making an educated guess here that's likely what happened. Being present for the kill wouldn't automatically qualify for the achievement.

Thankfully, this year - the holiday bosses are going to be a bit easier to work through and get groups for :)
