202 Error Help

Hi, i just recently started playing this game. My son plays it and i tried it out for awhile and i went to upgrade my account and i got
"Error 202: We were unable to process your request with the information provided. Please consider purchasing a retail copy of the game or contacting <a href="http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=20606&rhtml=true?rhtml=y">Billing and Account Services</a> for further assistance."
this as an error. My card is valid i use it on paypal all the time to buy stuff. Also, it says consider buying a retail verson of the game, but i already have the game on this computer so i dont know what to do. Help.

Hi Burrock,

The error 202 is typically the result of a charge that cannot be authorized.

Check the following:
  • Card holder's full name
  • Full Card number
  • Zip code associated with the card
  • Security code
**Note** for security purposes please do not post any personal information.

If you continue to get the same error I would recommend contacting your financial institution to discuss the possibility of a blocked charge. If the issue persists, you will need to contact our billing and account services team.

I would start with that. As I mentioned before, you would need to contact our billing and account services. Billing reps can attempt the transaction with you on the phone.
