Deleted Crimson Deathchargers?

Greetings,

I was whispered in-game last night by another player (a trade competitor) who has dabbled in the rare & epic mount trade like me. He advised me that some of the Reigns of the Crimson Deathcharger that he had invested in were deleted and his gold was not reimbursed, and that I should *not* purchase any that are being sold through the AH for 55k gold (~20k below market value) because I may suffer the same consequence.

The reasoning for his items being deleted, according to him, is because the mounts were being used to "launder" gold which has been marked as "bought" or "sold" by gold sellers.

Is this a valid concern? As one who has never bought gold or sold gold, and is simply looking for ways to make gold in-game by buying and re-selling rare mounts I need to know exactly what risk I am taking. If I am indeed at risk of having purchased mounts deleted from my account I could be losing hundreds of thousands of gold that has taken me months to earn, which is unsettling.

Please advise.

Regards

Purchased through a trade or through the Auction House, Steelo, we will do what we can to refund what was spent. Please understand that no restoration is ever guaranteed and though we will certainly do what we can we may not always been in a position to provide restitution.

If an item has been reclaimed and the purchase price was not refunded feel free to submit a petition or write to wowgm@blizzard.com and someone will take a look.

It should also be noted though that if the purchase price of an item seem too good to be true, it often is.
