Ok I just got down downloading the the whole game. When I click play I got a error message about something and saying to reinstall the game to fix it. I check up on the error on the forums and rad a blue post saying to go to your wow folder and try fixing it from there. That is when I notice that I have no wow folder. I read a different thread on here saying that the error was caused by having a wow trial account downloaded on the same computer. So I delete the wow trial account but when going through my program files I still see world of warcraft listed. That is the full game as evident by its large size. I try uninstalling it and it says that uninstall.xml can not be found. I check out another thread where a blue says to delete your two wow folders to clear this problem up. Problem is that I can't find the wow folders. I also have no desktop icon anymore for wow so i can't right click it to find the folder location. I need to figure out how to delete this old copy of wow since now I am down 14g on my laptop that didn't hav emuch memory to start with. So I would appreciate any help in trying to solve this strange problem. Thanks for any help.

If you are unable to use the uninstaller to remove the game from your system you will need to go through and manually uninstall the game by deleting the application directory where the program was installed. The default location is "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft". On Vista/7, this folder may also have been moved to "C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft".

You may also want to search your hard drive for any Warcraft related files and delete them, including your Temporary folders and the Blizzard Entertainment folder from the common files folder. These folders will normally be located at:

C:\Windows\Temp
C:\Documents and Settings\<YourName>\Local Settings\Temp
(Delete all files in these folders that you are able to. Some files may be used by other programs and not able to be deleted.)

C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft
(Select and Delete this folder if it exists)

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Blizzard Entertainment
(Select and Delete this folder if it exists)

C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft
(Select and Delete this folder if it exists)

C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft\
(Select and Delete this folder if it exists)

Once uninstalled, please also remove the remaining World of Warcraft game folder if this has not been done already. Once all previous files have been removed, re-run the installer from the installation CD or downloaded install files to reinstall the game.
