Hello I was talking with a fellow guildie who said that a GM asked for their name (now Ropetown). I was just wondering if this was true so a blue post would be nice 2 confirm this =D

If your friend wishes to ask this question they are welcome to do so, what can be confirmed about another player's account is limited. Blizzard has in the past made people change their name if the character has not been used and is simply holding a name ( which they do not support ).

If this is not a really good thing to ask I dont mind deleting it

OT stands for Off topic, which this isn't, so I deleted that part of the title to avoid confusion. :)

As for the name itself, Ruxion, if by GM you mean Game Master then there is only one condition in which a player may be contacted and need to give up a name. That is if the name was made available due to a compromise or temporary deletion or a character. In such cases as we are providing restoration to the player who was compromised we usually try to recover the name that the character previously had.

Otherwise, no, a Game Master would not have asked for the name.
