Is this against Terms and Service?

I am looking to transfer a character of mine to a different server, but currently he has more than 20,000 gold.

I was planning on buying an item that would bring me below 20,000 gold (such as the mechano-hog) and then selling it when I arrived at the new server. Is this against the terms and service or anything like that, or would this be an acceptable alternative?

I just want to verify I am not breaking any rules of Blizzards. I asked this question in another post but it was not the original topic of the post, so I will be deleting that one once this is posted.

If a blue could respond that would be greatly appreciated.
