OOX Quests

I would like some help concerning my status on the OOX quests, to get the "OOX of your own" and the Mechanical Chicken.

I have recently found and turned in the Beacon, and also saved th OOX in Feralas and Tanaris.
I am sure I have already found and turned in the beacon in Hinterlands, but not yet saved the chicken.

Although, when I use the ServerQuery, I get the info that I have not even found the beacon in Hinterlands; but after several hours of grinding I can't drop the thing.
Is there a chance it got bugged in my toon? Or is it just pure dumb UNluck?

It appears the Server Query is correct - neither the Find or Rescue quests for Hinterlands have been completed yet. It also does not appear the item is in your inventory (bank or otherwise), which would also prevent you from finding another.

So I do believe this is an unfortunate run of luck. I do hope that improves swiftly for you!
