Please help - my toon has been corrupted

I posted this to the tech forums a while ago (yesterday) and no responses so I am hoping someone here will understand more than I do what's going on and be able to help.....

okay this is a weird one. running my random today, I needed to switch specs to tank the instance. Did so but something didnt go right in the process...not sure how to describe it but it looked like it switched specs but got confused in the process...

the net result of all this is the game is now treating my toon like its a level 60 or something. my dps has gone to next to nothing against 80 levels (training dummys for example), I am missing constantly, the amount of blocked, parried and mitigation against my attempts are out of control.

my gear fits, I've tried respec 6 times, tried different gear, deleted my WTF, Cache and Addons folders..nothing is fixing my broken main toon.

His fury spec (which I practice on the dummys all the time) can do about 5.5K against the boss dummy and does about 2.4K in tank spec. Gearscore is ~5900 tank *main spec* and 5700 fury and he's a really reliable good toon....but now he's useless...something majorly wrong and I dont know what to do. He's doing about 500 dps doing white damage swings in Fury against the boss target dummy. Recount is showing that the hits are glancing, being parried, dodged or missing most of the time. It's like i have zero expertise or hit...but as you can see by my gear and config I have a lot of both. .

None of my other toons appear affected at all.

ive got a ticked into a GM but thats been there for 16 hours and I dont know when they might respond.

Anyone ever heard of a crazy issue like this? Ive been playing since day 1 and this one has stumped me.

Winchester, I'd like to take a look into this directly - do you mind hopping onto another character in the mean time? Any will do, so long as it isn't the one that is affected.

I believe I found the source of the problem, Winchester.

It appears your main hand, Cryptmaker, is a 2-handed Mace. This is the only weapon that you are regularly missing with, and while your skill for Maces is 400, your skill for 2-handed Maces is not yet there. That is likely resulting in the number of misses and parries you are seeing, in addition to the lowered damage. This is also reflected in your paper doll by your overall damage being in a red number. I hope that makes some sense!

Totally honest mistake, Winchester. >^.^< Weapon skills will be going away with Cataclysm, thankfully, so it won't much of an issue for the future.

I was unable to reproduce the issue, Winchester. The damage you were dealing as a tank seemed to be about what I'd expect, and your general abilities were also dealing about average damage. A dodge or parry should be expected at the Expertise level you are at, and while you are at the current Hit cap, remember that that doesn't guarantee you will *never* miss - there is always a very small chance to miss.

You may have just hit an unlucky streak at first. =)
