Who likes Running Wild?

I personally want to say Blizzard, good job on Running Wild for Worgen. I really like the idea of it, and I enjoy the fact that you're sticking to your guns on this against criticism. Here's my request: DON'T BUCKLE UNDER PRESSURE!

The opposition: "Worgen should have a mount because that balances out farming mounts for Alliance players versus Horde players. If the two factions don't have the same amount of mounts, it's unfair to the Alliance."
My reply: Being a mount collector myself, I agree that this does give Horde players more mounts than Alliance players, but I'm unphased by it. The way to balance it without taking away Running Wild would be to lower the amount of mounts needed for the next "I Have Lots Of Free Time" achievement. If you were to argue this point, then you could also argue that the mount achievements are unfair to anyone who isn't a paladin or warlock due to their "free" mounts. However, I believe we've heard this argument before when Flight form was discovered to not count as a mount. We eventually got over it. I know two mounts is not the same as four or six mounts, but the idea is the same.

The opposition: "Why can't Worgen have their own unique mounts? It would look so cool to have a racial specific mount."

My reply: I personally would value the truly feral look of running on all fours as a veritable beast versus riding like some civilised creature on a mount. Besides, as a blue post said, you get an even more unique look than you would riding an interesting mount, since your gear is on, your character is customized, and you're at a different level from other mounted players. Plus, you can get a mount if you really want one.

Here's what I think could maybe silence some of the whining:
Gilneans do have horses, as I've seen in some screenshots of events. However, I believe it would be unfair for Worgen players to have to farm for Stormwind rep to get a horse if their own people should already have them available. If horses were available to Worgen, I think it would level the field a bit and give a sort of concession to Worgen players for there not being a unique mount for them. The Gilnean horse would, however, be gone if the player was knocked off via daze effects from aggro while traveling. Though I'm not playing in the Beta myself, I've read that Worgen shift from human form to Worgen form when entering combat. This would only need to happen while mounted if the player were knocked off their mount.

Thoughts?

TL;DR version: Achievement farmers should settle down, it will still be a level playing field for the achievement. Running Wild would already be a unique mount, since you are the mount, and your character looks terribly unique compared to mounts. Perhaps a mount for Worgen in human form would be a good way to balance things out and quell the opposition.

Stick to the plan, Blizzard. I know the haters yell the loudest and the squeaky wheel gets the grease, so here's my squeaky wheel.
