Mobile Authenticator

Ok, so I have 2 accounts ... each secured with an authenticator. Authenticator is the mobile one that goes on your phone. Well, today while servers where down I decided it would be a good time to sit down and root my Evo so I could use wifi tethering again ...

What I forgot about was that the authenticator is unique to the individual install ... and thus reinstalling the authenticator would do me no good.

Hind sight is 20/20

Anyway, so here is my problem ... I have 2 wow accounts:

[removed]
[removed]

and and the same authenticator attached to each

Serial - [removed]

After reinstalling the Authenticator I now have a new Serial ... but no way to restore the old one.

Do I need to contact Account Management to get this resolved ... or can I take care of this myself somehow?

Unless you have the original serial number for your mobile authenticator (meaning, the one that is currently attached to your accounts), you will need to phone in to Billing & Account Services for assistance with this issue. It is possible that they may require you to provide verification, as these matters can be somewhat sticky at times, so do be sure to have ready various methods of verification, such as your game Authentication/CD Keys. It may speed up the process. >^.^<

Q u o t e:
Yah, the one I edited out of OP is the orig one that is currently attached to both accounts

That's great, actually! It will make the process much smoother for Billing to remove it for you. You likely won't need to take the difficult verification steps, but I'd have that information handy just in case.

Best of luck to you!
