Suspicious Activity/ Comp Security

So i got the "suspicious activity" lock on Friday. I don't use any tunneling software or anything, but I had just created a new account and moved this level 10 to the account with hierloom gear, so I figured that might have been what triggered it. I change my PW, but end up changing back to the original cause I don't suspect anything

Tonight it happened again. Since I'm not using any of that tunneling software (just normal Comcast internet on a wireless router) I'm guessing someone took a few swings at my password.

So here's what I've done tonight to correct the problem...

1) Change battlenet password.

2) Windows Update

3) Update, then run, my three protection programs while WoW is launched (I normally do scans but not while WoW is open). FYI I use Microsoft Security Essentials, Malwarebytes, and Spybot. They only found a couple of tracking cookies.

4) Once I know my system is clean, change battlenet password again and change email account password.

Anything else I need to cover? I'll look into an authenticator in the morning, since I only ever log into WoW from the PC or laptop here at the apartment.

As recently as 9/10, I do see something just a bit odd on this account you are posting under.

Could be perfectly fine, but it could also mean someone else has your information and is trying to get into your account.

The steps you've outlined are excellent. I would also check into adding an authenticator as an extra layer of security as soon as possible.
