Being reported for harassment i didn't do?

Recently in my trade chat there was a troll doing what trolls do and he said something that got under someones skin.

The person who was unnerved by his comments said that I was the only person who could have told this troll that information. When I had zero contact with the troll in question.

So my question is, could I be banned if someone reported me for suspicion of providing a troll with information on the person?
