Question about realm firsts and transfers

"characters who undergo a Paid Character Transfer are ineligible for Realm First Achievements for two months after the date of the transfer."

So if i were to transfer my character to a new realm right now, and then cataclysm comes out in less than 2 months, would i be ineligible for level 85 realm first achievements?

I dont understand how transferring now would give me any advantage or allow me to cheat into a realm first when the expac isnt even out yet.
Hi Alexandur,

This is the way the transfer system was designed. Your character will automatically be flagged as ineligible to obtain any realm first achievements. It's true regardless of prior knowledge to the release of an expansion or patch. Since we currently do not have a release date for Cataclysm it's difficult to say if you will be eligible.

If you feel something should be changed in regards to this feature, I recommend you post your thoughts on our suggestion forums.

Let us know if you have any additional questions. Thanks!

What you guys should do is for people who transfer realm between now and the release of cata, only lock them out of level 80 realm firsts and not the 85 ones.
As I mentioned before, Alexandur, you may wish to post this idea on our suggestion forums.
Q u o t e:
what of the players that just transferred off of dentarg? Are they going to be ineligible for cata realm firsts too? That would be a little unfair imo.
Again, there is no release date for cataclysm. If you have any additional questions in regards to character transfers you may want to contact our Billing and Account services team as they are better equipped to answer these questions.
