Message from "The Postmaster"

I got a message in my in-game mailbox regarding an "item found in the twisting nether" from The Postmaster. There was no report spam button, so I assume it was from a legitimate blizzard rep, yet the e-mail had no attachments other than the "make a permanent copy of this letter" box.

I've been getting a lot of inbox spam lately, so this raised a bit of a red flag for me. Was there some error made? Or did some nice GM finally find the Hyacinth Macaw I lost in the mail last year? (and yes, I really did lose one in the mail and it kills me every day knowing I had it and didn't use it on my pet collector)

The character that received the letter is this one I'm posting from. I left it in my inbox if that helps at all.

That is, indeed, a legitimate in-game mail, Icelus. The Postmaster watches out for any items that may have not been looted correctly, or emblems that didn't quite make it to you.

Come to think of it, that does sound kind of suspicious and a little creepy. >> But it is all in the best interest of getting you your rightful items back when possible. >^.^<

It looks like it was an Emblem of Triumph that you looted from the mail about a day after it was sent, Icelus. If you have an addon that removes items or gold from the mail (which I suspect to be the case, as I see a lot of recent AH sales money being claimed around that time), it would have been very easy to miss.
