Real ID function not available?

Not sure why this account is unable to add real ID friends, there is no pending tab and when I hit add friend there is no information about real ID or anything.

The account is obviously upgraded to WOTLK (I am posting from a DK), so I don't understand what the problem could be, thx.

Shandiee and Kalizorm appear to be correct, Aenemaa. You have Parental Controls active on this account. You can recover the parental controls link by visiting the following link.

https://us.battle.net/account/parental-controls/retrieve.html

Once you enable the Real ID option make sure you close down the World of Warcraft client completely and reboot.

If you still do not have the Real ID option in your friends panel you may want to try resetting your User Interface.
