Hacked.

My account was compromised recently. I found when I logged into Gmail it told me that an IP located in China had logged into my account and it went from there.

Long story short, I went through all the processes of changing passwords, account recovery, etc.

My only problem is that I have no idea how someone could have gotten the info. I did a scan of my computer and nothing came up and I'm very careful.

The only two things that come to mind is that I got an in-game mail with some rhyme about a Cata beta which I clicked on the button "Report Spam". The other was that I recently installed Recount and Gearscore add-ons from Curse (drag and dropped the files to the proper directories; no installers).

I'm just worried about it happening again because I don't know how I got hacked in the first place.

Does anyone know if these add-ons are safe or if maybe the in-game mail with the "Report Spam" was anything?

Thanks.

Unless you went to any suspicious websites the in-game mail you received forwarded to you, Pustulater, I would probably rule that one out as the source of your compromise. I'm afraid I can't narrow it down for you precisely - there are definitely a lot of different causes, and it could possible have been a vulnerability from some time ago where they acquired your information, and then used it later.
