Canceling a WoW Subscription

Hey there im wanting to cancel my WoW subscription for a few months and i cant find anywhere that says how long my account will sit inactive before it gets deleted or w/e id like to take a break but i definatly dont want my characters getting deleted or anything like that so does anyone know how long itll just sit there for?

Unfortunately, Iamesauce, this is not true. Our logs only exist for a finite amount of time - to keep that amount of information across all our players, each of which could have up to 50 characters per account, for that length of time is simply not feasible.

However, information such as character data (which are not logs, more like... save files, if you will) are maintained unless deleted by the player. Depending on the level of the character that is deleted, they will exist in our systems for a set period of time.

    Deleted characters from level 1 - 30 will be lost after 60 days.
    Deleted characters from level 30 - 49 will be lost after 120 days.
    Deleted characters from level 50 and above will never be lost
