Just a quick question

Hey all just a question for anyone that will know.

I have a little one that likes to have my hunter's cat chase stuff down, shes not quite 3 so I don't consider this playing but its what she likes to do. I know its ok for her to play on my account but I want to let her have her own character and I'll probably put it on a different server that way if she gets to the character screen hers is the only on there and I don't have to worry about an accidental deletion.

Question is, I've been inactive for 6 months and I don't know that I won't go inactive again and her character will be low level. I've heard that blizzard may at times give away names, how high do I need to level her character to make sure it and it's name remain safe? I just don't want to let her create/name etc something and then have her upset to find out at a later date that it's gone. Heck she may not even care but anyone with kids knows you just can't be sure what is going to break their hearts that day :D

Thanks to anyone that may know the answer to this I appreciate your help!

If I stop playing and cancel my account, will my characters be deleted?

No. Blizzard's current policy is never to delete active characters of inactive accounts. If you reactivate your account at any point in the future, your characters will be ready to play. If this policy changes at any point in the future, it will be announced on www.worldofwarcraft.com.

Please note, however, that deleted characters on an account will be permanently removed from our databases and become unrecoverable after a certain length of time, depending on their level:

    1-30: Deleted after two months.
    31-49: Deleted after four months.
    50 and above: Never deleted.

Thanks Zen, I knew it wouldn't get delete was more worried some new person would want the characters name and it would get taken because it was low level and the account might be inactive thanks for the responses guys!
