Recruit a friend

I decided to start playing again when my friend told me of the benefits you gen when recruited. i followed his email, and made my account with a free trial, i then upgraded my account on wow 1, where i had made my account, there was nothing different about either account when i checked them so i thought both would be linked to my friends recruit. it turned out after playing with my friend that i had to be on wow 2 account for recruit,
is there any way i could swap account, or even just swap a character on wow 2 account to wow 1 account and still receive benefits of recruit a friend.

Might I also recommend you submit a petition to have your name changed. It goes far easier on a player to do this themselves, than wait for a name in violation of our policies to be reported.
