Blizzard's stance on Ninjas and Gold Buying

I've been playing this game for years now and I never could understand something. Why is Blizzard against buying gold but will do nothing about ninjas? I'm sure every end-gamer has gotten used to joining GDKPs as either a bidder or carrier. And at some point you have heard of or been ninja'd from in one of these runs. My point is Blizzard is against players buying gold, so more and more lazy players are stealing it instead with no consequences.

And yes, you can take the easy passive way out and blame the players who join these runs. But that is just like blaming the store clerk for getting robbed because he setup shop in a city with a crime rate above zero percent. You can't blame the players for wanting to play. And you can't blame the make-up of this game for promoting player progression through buying gear. When I am on my 80's, the only ICC25 runs that are even being advertised are GDKP runs. Even organized guilds seem to be running them.

It's either join these runs to get geared up enough to join the normal non-GDKP runs, or hope to God that you can find a cool down-to-earth guild that will accept you with your low gearscore and is willing to gear you up. And I've yet to come across any end-game guilds willing to gear up someone up that isn't already a geared guild member on an alt or something.

Tonight alone there has been 5 different ninjas reported in Trade chat. All names that I've never seen before and will never see again after tonight, because these people have so many alts that they can either lay low until people forget they ninja'd or pay for the name change and hope no one put them on their friends list. I whispered the last guy asking why he did it, and his response was people do it to him all the time and get away with it so why shouldn't he?

I'm sorry Blizzard, but through your lack of action against ninjas you promote the ninjaing. Your stance on buying gold is firm, so why can't your stance on ninjas be a little firmer? I understand you can't be the internet police, but these people post the loot rules in chat, then deliberately break them and get no punishment for it.

The way I see it, either allow players to buy gold or police your game a bit better when it comes to ninjas. All you have to do is put a post on the forums or at the login screen saying, "We've banned 10000 players for ninjaing gold from GDKP runs." and I guarantee people will think twice before they ninja the gold pot at the end of the run. Something needs to be done to put the fear back into the wicked, because right now the wicked are running wild without any concern.

Q u o t e:
You can't ninja in WoW... That is their stance it doesn't get much clearer. You can however be scammed. However running a GDKP run is NOT supported by Blizzard because of the huge chance of scamming involved, so more then likely they will not do anything. It is the same stance they have if you were to loan gold to a friend and they didn't pay you back.

Just to clarify, if you believe a scam has taken place involving loot or even GDKP and it is reported we will investigate based on a possible scam. If violations of our scam policy occurred and are verified appropriate actions will be taken. It should be noted though that we will likely be unable to provide redistribution of loot or gold.

This player derived loot distribution method is not supported and therefore you participate at your own risk. This does not mean that we condone the activities surrounding such runs, such as taking the money and leaving, we have always strongly opposed players attempting to scam one another.
