I'm asking this again because my question the first time around was not very clear to others as I thought it may've been and for the other reason that the answer I got...to me...was unclear. So I'm re-posting the same question, but written differently in hopes of getting a clearer response. I will try to word it a bit more clear as well.

I want to take a level 80 on my veteran account...run the non-veteran character through quests and instances in order to level the non-veteran character up.

Here is my question: Let's assume that my 80 veteran character ran my non-veteran character up to level 58. Can I then...from my non-veteran character grant levels to my veteran character? Or does this work the complete opposite way?

Q u o t e:
so basically what you're telling me that even though I won't get the triple xp, which is fine, I can grant levels to my veteran after my non-veteran has hit level ___? Correct?

Most of your questions concerning level granting can be answered on page 2 of the Recruit-A-Friend FAQ page:

Q u o t e:
Are there are any restrictions on granting levels?

Yes:
1. Levels may only be granted to characters on a veteran account by characters on a linked recruit account
2. Levels may only be granted to characters of the same faction and on the same realm
3. Levels may not be granted to characters over level 59
4. Levels may not be granted to characters of equal or higher level
5. Levels may not be granted once a 90-day account link breaks
6. Levels may not be granted to veteran characters with XP gains disabled.

With this, once a level is granted, it may not be used again. For example: If a recruit character possessed 15 "grantable" levels and provided 10 to a veteran character, only 5 would remain for future use.

At what level is the first "grantable" level gained?

The first "grantable" level is gained at level 2.
