Guild Leader's account compromised?

A little more than a month ago, our guild leader said he needed to take some time off for health reasons, about a month. Fine.

Six days ago, his character logged on and cleaned all gold out the guild bank (no items were taken). This seems SO completely unlike him... I believe his account has been compromised, and the gold was stolen. His character is still in the guild.

Is there anything at all that I, as a guild officer, can do? I don't have any contact information for the guild leader outside the game, but we've talked a lot on Vent, and I don't believe *he* actually took that gold. Can Blizzard email him and notify him of possible compromise?

I don't want guild leadership or anything like that ~ I just want some way of letting this person know that someone may have hijacked his account!

You can definitely put in a petition about this issue, Califree - in fact, we encourage these reports! We do have a process for referring player accounts that are reported as compromised by a third party. Just make sure you include the name and realm of your guild leader so that our Game Masters make sure they are looking into the right account.

If you have any way to contact your Guild Leader, you should refer them to the following information hubs as well:
